Emma and Maddy Mitchell

Sports: Kayaking

Emma Mitchell fell in love with the sport of kayaking after attending a summer camp in 2010, and has gone on to achieve great success ever since. Born and raised in Winnipeg, she and twin sister Madeline Mitchell have become two of the top young paddlers in the nation.

After winning five medals at the Western Canada Summer Games in 2015, Emma was selected to represent Canada at the Olympic Hopes regatta in Poland. Emma said the regatta was an amazing event to participate in and one which featured the best athletes from across the globe. A junior national gold medal winner and now a Junior National Team Member, Emma has big dreams for the future.
