The programs and services provided for athletes are designed to enhance their preparation for national and international competition. CSCM provides services and programs for individual athletes and training groups at different levels depending on the athlete’s achievements.

Outside of training groups, CSCM supports four different levels of individual athletes:

Please note that available support for visiting athletes differs from support listed above. Contact Stephanie to discuss available support.

Coverage of Sport Medicine Expenses

Servicing must be pre-approved by Stephanie in order to qualify for financial support from CSCM.

  • Direct Payment/Reimbursement: Athletes pay their service provider 100% directly for any service they receive. The athlete can then submit their receipts to Stephanie for partial reimbursement.
    • Please include a statement outlining the amount covered by personal insurance.
  • Athlete Service Voucher System: The athlete can contact Stephanie and request an athlete service voucher that authorizes specific athlete services. The athlete will present the athlete service voucher to their provider when receiving service. The service provider will include the athlete service voucher with their invoice, and submit it directly to Stephanie for payment.
    • The athlete service voucher guarantees payment to the service provider by CSCM for a portion of services rendered.
    • Invoices received at the CSCM office that are not accompanied by an athlete service voucher will be returned to the service provider and are the responsibility of the athlete.

CSCM will only contribute financial support after the athlete’s provincial health care and personal insurance have contributed.

Don’t have personal insurance? Consider the following:

In all cases, services must be pre-approved through Stephanie. Costs arising from services that have not been approved by Stephanie will be the responsibility of the athlete.
