Chandra is a three-time Olympian in Cross-Country Skiing and is the founder and CEO of Fast and Female. Fast and Female is an organization dedicated to empowerment through sport which strives to get girls aged 9 to 19 hooked on an athletic lifestyle. As the founder of Fast and Female, she was a dedicated volunteer for 11 years before taking a leadership role with the organization in 2014. In her board capacity, she volunteers time to join the other members in providing oversight, performance management, and risk-assessment.
Chandra Crawford is a music-loving mountain girl born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Canmore, Alberta. In 2005 she founded “Fast and Female,” a registered charity on a mission to “keep ALL girls healthy and active in sports.” Today, the organization has reached over 18,000 girls all over North America thanks to more than 2000 role model appearances.
In 2006 at the age of 22, Chandra won the Olympic Gold medal in cross-country skiing and belted out the national anthem from the top step of the podium. In 2014 she retired from ski racing after three Olympics and 13 years of international ski racing with the Canadian National Team and went on to graduate from the University of Calgary executive MBA program in the spring of 2016.
