The Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba Presents the Newcomer Sport Internship Program

[Winnipeg, MB] The Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba (CSCM) is pleased to announce the launch of the Newcomer Sport Internship Program (NSIP).
Newcomers to Canada in the Winnipeg area who are passionate about sport and interested in working in Sport Science or Sport Administration in Canada are invited to apply for this paid internship opportunity.
“At the Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba, our sport scientists work with Olympic and Paralympic pathway athletes in disciplines like Sport Psychology, Strength & Conditioning, Physiology and Sport Nutrition. The Newcomer Sport Internship Program aims to give exposure to new Canadians in these disciplines, and a pathway to a career in sport,“ says CSCM Executive Director, Jeff Powell.
The application deadline for the first round of applications is August 16, 2024. Please send questions to NSIP Lead, Rabaa Souissi at nsip@cscm.ca. Interested candidates are encouraged to attend one of the July info sessions:
- Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 6:00pm at the University of Winnipeg
- Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 6:00pm online via Zoom
- Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 6:00pm at the University of Manitoba
