Kylo Harris

Performance Pathway & Athlete Services Manager

Kylo’s sport career has spanned multiple decades and provinces, starting as an athlete at the 1991 Newfoundland and Labrador Games (hockey) and the 1991 Canada Winter Games (Judo, alternate) to working with the Kugluktuk Grizzlies Athletics Association in Nunavut. In 2006 and 2008, he was a soccer coach for the North American Indigenous Games.

Kylo has been working in sport in Manitoba since October of 2008, both in sport specific jobs as well as in a variety of roles at Sport Manitoba, from coaching development to regional sport development to performance pathway. He has been involved with the Manitoba Games program since 2006, totalling 8 Manitoba Games events. He has also worked with Team Manitoba at the Canada Games and Western Canada Games since 2007, totalling 9 Games with Team Manitoba.  Summer 2025 is the second time Kylo will hold the role of Assistant Chef de Mission with Team Manitoba for the 2025 Canada Summer Games.

Kylo’s current position, shared between CSCM and Sport Manitoba, includes the development of high performance, multi-sport solutions that enhance the development of tomorrow’s champions today by supporting Manitoba’s elite athletes through expert guidance, collaboration with sport partners, and the integration of sport science and coaching resources. In addition, Kylo is enrolled in the Master of High Performance Coaching and Technical Leadership program at University of British Columbia.

On a personal level, Kylo’s family are all also highly involved in sport. His wife is a successful Manitoba athlete and coach who has also worked in sport as an administrator and researcher. Their daughters are both multi-sport athletes, and his eldest had her first experience at the Manitoba Games in 2024.
