When Are You Your Best?
Dr. Adrienne Leslie-Toogood, Director of Sport Psychology
We are our best when we are ourselves. As we rise to higher levels of competition, it is easy to look around at what other people are doing. Make sure to take time to reflect on what got you to this place. You are your best, when you are yourself. Prior to heading to a major competition, take time to reflect on when you are your best. Write a few things down that you want to remember. Maybe find a picture of yourself that reminds you of a time when you were your best. Think about a way you can remember that during the event. Plan for being that person. Don’t leave it up to chance.
