Kyle Turcotte

Kyle has been involved in high-performance for over 20 years. Prior to CSCM Kyle worked with the University of Manitoba providing strength and conditioning services to many of their teams including the 2007 Vanier Cup winning football team and men’s and women’s hockey and volleyball. Kyle moved on to become an instructor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. After a few years there, Kyle joined CSCM in July of 2011.

Kyle has provided service to many athletes at CSCM during his tenure including:

  • Current sports: curling and para-archery.
  • Past sports: speed skating, volleyball, para-triathlon, canoe/kayak, road cycling, fencing, taekwondo and wheelchair basketball (world champions 2014)

Kyle has continued to develop as a sport scientist through professional development opportunities such as the LEAD program through Own the Podium and Learning in Action’s We-Q (Emotional Intelligence) Practitioner Certificate. Kyle has also been a leader in the community in both the local CSEP committee and the former Manitoba Kinesiology Association.

Kyle’s has always maintained that there are no bad exercises – only poor application and poor execution.
