CSCM is hiring an IT/Web development support person for a fractional role.
Position Title: IT/Web Development Support
Position Type: Fractional
Hours: 8 hours weekly with flexible accrual
Working hours expectations: While some weeks will require 8 hours of work, other weeks will require less and the unworked hours will accrue to be used on larger projects where more than 8 hours of work is required in a week. There is potential for additional project work beyond this agreement, which would be quoted on an individual project basis. These larger projects will be scheduled at a time that is agreed upon by CSCM and the employee.
Location: Winnipeg, MB (this role is a work-from-home opportunity, with occasional in-person meetings during office hours)
Renumeration: $45/hr

Job Description
The successful candidate will take on the following tasks:
- IT Support: Inventory and tracking of physical technology, purchase recommendations and support setup, and offering IT support to staff when required.
- Full-stack development: WordPress updates and troubleshooting current website, develop/code new website features, testing and debugging, optimizing site speed and security, monitoring website traffic, collaborating with the team, and additional web tasks as needed.
- Cloud and server management: Manage AWS cloud for instance management, configure and maintain Virtualmin, set up and support LAMP servers running WordPress. Basic Linux knowledge is required.
Skills required:
- Must be confident working with and supporting Google Suite, Office 365, Amazon Web Services, Dropbox for Business, Slack, Apple/iOS physical devices, and additional systems as needed.
- Experience with Virtualmin and basic Linux server management.
- Knowledge of web development technologies and frameworks.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and design.
- Knowledge or experience working with TechSoup is an asset.
- Communication, teamwork, and time management.
Qualifications/Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- English Language proficiency: CLB 7 is required.
