Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba Launches New Website
Winnipeg, MB – The Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba (CSCM) announces the launch of its new website, cscm.ca. Available in both French and English, the site includes an improved user experience and is now responsive, meaning it can be easily accessed from both desktop and mobile devices.
“As with any web project, cscm.ca will always be a work in process,” says Richelle Starke, CSCM’s marketing and events manager, “Our goal with the project was to create a hub for all of our communications efforts – a place where our athletes and coaches, the media and the general public can go to find all the information they want.”
The website’s functionality includes a section displaying up-to-date results from CSCM athletes, a calendar of upcoming competitions and events, athlete profiles, blogs and press releases from the Centre, and relevant news stories collected from around the web.
The website comes as part of a larger communications strategy that seeks to help drive engagement and support for the organization. “The work that our sport science experts do every day is exceptional. They’re serving the top athletes in our province, helping them realize their Olympic and Paralympic dreams,” Starke says. “The challenge – and the opportunity – is that they tend to fly under the radar in the broader community. The new website is a platform to help us tell those stories and celebrate our local champions.”
The Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba (CSCM) was created as one of the many legacies of the 1999 Pan American Games held in Winnipeg. Today, CSCM is the hub for high performance sport in Manitoba. A proud member of the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network, CSCM works to provide a world-class, multi-sport daily training environment for athletes and coaches through integrated services and programs in the fields of physiology, strength and conditioning, nutrition, psychology and support services.
