CSCM Welcomes New Marketing and Events Manager
Winnipeg, MB – Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba (CSCM) welcomes Richelle Starke to its team in the role of Marketing and Events Manager. Starke is set to replace Luisa Miranda Alarcón, who stepped away from the Centre earlier this month to pursue an opportunity with Metric Marketing.
“The work Luisa has done over the past 15 months has helped us build a solid foundation for our marketing efforts,” says Jeff Powell, CSCM General Manager. “With this transition, we are confident we’ll be able to keep the momentum going. Richelle will complement our team well; her experience and skill set is a great fit for the Centre and the direction we’re headed.”
Starke brings 11 years of communications and marketing experience to CSCM, most recently working as Marketing Manager for Think Shift, an award-winning advertising agency and corporate culture consultancy. There, she supported the growth of the organization as it tripled in size, becoming one of the largest of its kind in Western Canada. Responsible for the firm’s self-promotion and internal communication, she led its brand development, digital media and content marketing.
Prior to her time in the advertising industry, Starke served on staff with a local non-profit organization in a variety of roles, including program and event coordination, copywriting and graphic design. She holds degrees in English Linguistics as well as Rhetoric and Communications from the University of Winnipeg.
